Discuss Michael's answer to: Where in the bible where god kill hezekiah?

2kings 20:1 ;;;; In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, "This is what the LORD says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~   ~~

2kings 20:5 ;;;;;; ;"Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of my people, 'This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the LORD.

~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~
2kings 20:6 ;;;; I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my sake and for the sake of my servant David
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~

2kings 20:7 ;; ; Then Isaiah said, "Prepare a poultice of figs." They did so and applied it to the boil, and he recovered.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~ ~ ~~~~~~~~~
2Kings 20:20  ;;;; As for the other events of Hezekiah's reign, all his achievements and how he made the pool and the tunnel by which he brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~

2Kings 20:21 ;;;;;And Hezekiah  slept with his fathers:.....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~   ~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So God was going to Kill Hezekiah but because Hezekiah repented; God gave Hezekiah an extra  15 years. <<< cool beans huh?  Then when it was time for Hezekiah to die ; Hezekiah went peacefully to be with his forefathers.
                                           Tongue out
So I got me a pen and a paper, and I made up my own little sign. I said, "Thank you Lord, for thinkin' about me, I'm alive and doin' fine."
Excellent answer Michael.  You went deeper into the story then I did.
We all have an appointment with the grim reaper.  The time between birth and death shows what is in us and whether or not we should be redeemed.  Hezekiah wanted extra time to prove himself and the Lord granted it.
Considering the limitless span of eternity, and the fact that a few extra years won't show more of us than we showed already, then why do we all want to live longer?  Do we want that much more time to redeem ourselves?  Are we that afraid of what we cannot avoid anyway?
The grim reaper is the ultimate bringer of justice.  In most cases we will find that he delivers us to paradise.
