Me & BFF like the same guy!! {ANSWER FAST - DESPERATLEY NEEDED!!}

So theres thes two guys, Mark and Derek. My bestfriend, Rachel likes Mark but Mark HATES my bestfriend when she REALLY REALLY REALLY likes him. She had asked him if he liked her more than a friend he said no, but she still likes him i have no idea why, but Derek told me that mark really likes me and i have always liked him in a way but never told rachel. Now we want to go out. We both know we like eachother and the only reason why I hadnt said anything was because of Mark. thing is I reaaly like mark and rachel has abouslutley no chance with mark since he told her he doesnt like her. Would it be bad if I went out with Mark?? Me and Derek were going to talk to her to see if she would freak out tommorow.. So the two main questions I need answered are If going out with Mark would be like REALLY bad and What should I say to Rachel when me and Derek talk to her THANK YOU P.S. She really really likes him, she cries over him all the time! I dont even do that!! Me and Mark REALLY like eachother, we get in trouble all the time for talking in class

Yeah, it would be kinda bad if she really is your BFF. And people always want what they can't have. You all sound pretty young. Believe me, at your age, a friendship will last far longer than a boyfriend.
