You need to head up to Healdsburg in Sonoma.  A perfect spot to visit Russian River Valley (Chard and Pinot Noir), Dry Creek Valley (Zin and Sauv Blanc) and Alexander Valley (Cab Sauv, Merlot and Zin).  The wines are reasonably priced, the food is great and you get a wide range of styles and wines all within approximately 20 miles from the town square.
