Can I receive non-service connected VA Disability and regular Social Security (SSI) benefits at the same time?

I don't have the answer to your question; I have basically the same question.  I receive 60% service connected disabilty and SSDI in Ny.  I applied for unemployabilty, have you heard anything about geting the increase, or if they grant the 100%, do they take some from your SSDI?  Do you have any info for me.  I applied a couple months ago and haven't heard anything yet.  Please email me at cnndg@aol.com

How do you get off of Social Security benefits?

If you are on Disability benefits and you want to work, there are work incentives that let you continue receiving benefits for some time. Call Social Security and let them know when you start work, and let them know if you stop work or change your hours.
