Would you begin a romantic relationship with someone if they were going to move to another part of the country?

Honestly: No.  Long distance relation is really frustrating and heart breaking.  Very few people can stand it.  If I were you I would not let myself fall in love under such circomstances, knowing how it will develope and how will it (probably) end.  But, it you already fell in love, don't throw it away, give it a try and hope for good. 

I wouldn't start something, knowing ti would end that way.

I would not I tried that once and it just usually does not work out unless you both feel exceptionally strongly about one another and intend to travel to one another often.

Absence does not seem to make the heart grow fonder in most cases it simply makes memories fade faster.

now seriously no. i lived this nightmare twice. i met my man at 600 km and found myself leaving my capital city for his bloody village. then my son did the same thing. in both cases we were both the losers side. in both cases we loved more. the one who loves less is in command. simple as that.

I think if the feelings and desires are there, and both people are willing to make the relationship work no matter what, I think you should give it a try. I have, and it can and does work. Go for it.
