I have a question about Major League baseball players. Why must they undo and redo their batting gloves after every pitch whether the swing or not. I find that disturbing.
These gloves do actually come loose. Don't forget that a pro athelete have wrists and forearms that are not the average joe. The wrists sweat and gloves need to be adjusted, especially after the swing. If they don't swing, the positive thinking pre routine comes in...just like a golfer...but when the bat gets cocked into the ready, launch position, the muscles stretch away from the glove. This leaves room for a player to re-adjust even though the gloves repositions itself on the hand. The glove just doesn't feel comfortable. When a player needs 100% positive thinking to hit major league pitching, you better stick with a routine that got you there. This is almost like a religious ceremony and we get to watch. The gloves are a part of the dressing up the basball players are wearing. Thank goodness they finally got a supportive and protective cup that doesn't need constant adjustment. That was being seen constantly where a player would touch the cup as he was getting into the box. Maybe someone will invent a batting glove that will help us not see this repetitive movement that we have no patience for.
What was wrong with the batting gloves before they started using velcro batting gloves? I don't think those velcro gloves come loose. They adjust the velcro when they don't swing and I know you will aqgree with me that the velcro batting gloves don't come loose when they don't swing.
