Most cream cheese comes in 8oz pakages. 2 of them would equal 1 pound. So subtract 1 quarter of a cup.

Buy 2-8 oz pkg. of cream cheese.  Cut one pkg in half. Use 1 1/2 pkg. to make recipe.  Use the left over on crackers, bagles, or celery. Yum!

Use 12 ounces of cream cheese. That is 1 1/2  8 ounce blocks of cream cheese.
