I and my wife have same blood group i.e. O+. my son affected by muscle destrophy. Is it happened by blood group? Please let me know.

No, it has nothing to do with blood type.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.

It is just bad luck and nothing to do with blood types. Many parents with a sick child feel they are somehow to blame. You are not. Get in touch with a support group, talk to parents in a similar situation. Best of luck.

If you have type B and the mother has type O then a child of that union would have eithe B or O blood type. The RH factor (+ or -) is separate from blood type. Basically, the child could very easily be yours. Only a DNA paternity test can make you sure though.

I don't really know of the common traditional terminology. But maybe "Grandfather in Law" is the technical term. Although she may not have any part of your family's biologic design , but your son will going to inject it through her.
