Breast feeding increases mother/child bonding.

Breast feeding is convenient.

Breast feeding improves the infant's immune system.

GOD created breast milk for babies. He had nothing to do with the creation of Similac.

It is not responsibility to tell you whether or not you should feel bad for make a poor choice concerning not breast feeding your infant.

I fully believe that this question and answer is nothing more than advertising and it has been reported as such.

I owe you an apology. You were totally an innocent bystander in Simran's TOU violations. Please forgive me.

I do, however, stand by the content of my original post.

Best wishes,

Many mothers choose not to breast feed. No biggie. There are many health benefits for the baby in doing it, but not enough that I think you should ever feel bad if your choice is not to do it. After all, it's your choice.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.

No you should not feel guilty; you should do what feels best for you. When i was pregnant i had no desire at all either; so i didnt. Same thing with my sister in law. I have heard about better bonding with your baby; etc. But i wont say i believe thats completly true. My daughters now 7 and very healthy; we have a very close relationship. So; dont be intimidated by "all the hype" you hear;  its for some women; and some- not. Do what  ever decision you feel most comfortable with:)

jms- If they were soft before, something is amiss. You need to see your doctor. This could be something ho-hum like fibrocystic disease or it could be something awful. I would go with the former, but do not delay in getting yourself checked out. JayR
