How do you get away from an emotionally abusive husband?

My husband has cheated on me since we got married and he says it hasn't happened in over 10 years, but he still flirts with other girls.  I want to leave him, but he says if I do, he will take the kids and I will never see them again.  He is military, we have been married for over 15 years. I am tired of being called stupid and always being told everything is my fault and that I can't do anything right.  How do I get away from him?

I think the first thing you need to do is go and legal advice about your custody rights.  Custody always favors the mother unless he can proove you to be an unfit mother.  Try to get some proof of his affair (although that will not really affect the custody rights)  Try also to proove the bullying in some way, record him or get something in writing.

He is using emotional abuse to stop you leaving him, do not let him win

good luck.
