How do you avoid or attempt to avoid forcing your views and morals on other people?

Do you ignore it when people say/do things you don't like? Do you avoid people you disagree with? My dad has warned me not force my views and morals on other people like I tried to when I was younger.

Well, it's kind of hard to explain really. I have a horror of having some other religions morals and values forced on me. And therefore I refuse to even get close to doing that same thing. If someone genuinely asks me about my faith, I'll answer sincerely. I can't ignore people I disagree with or who say or do things I find wrong. Hell, I'd have to ignore 3/4 of the world. Maybe more. But see, here's the thing. I have an unshakable faith in my beliefs and in my own personal value and worth. I don't have to live up to anyone's morals and values but my own. And I leave that same responsibility to other people. And I am a very tolerant, gentle man. It takes like, a nuclear war or something to make me angry. Life is just too short and too valuable to get easily upset or spend time disagreeing with everyone. I will discuss issues, but I won't argue. The way I see it, if you resort to argument and name calling and insults and the like, then your opinion holds no value. The truth needs no defence.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.

First, the idea of imposing things on others is completely illogical. Secondly, it is pointless to ignore people doing things we don't like. Also, it is equally absurd to avoid those we disagree with or/and those who disagree with us. This is highly irritating, however, to feed people with what doesn't interest them and in this way, annoy them to the highest.

As is common sense, we should always try to find out if what we talk about isn't incomprehensible and boring for others. Once we know what can build a fine discussion, we can carry on. On average, it is considered to be intelligent to pick up a point which others are interested in or love to do and talk about. Nothing can be as clever as talking about the one you're talking with.

In case you get annoyed due to others' boring topics and exaggeration, you can act smart and skillfully turn the talk to some matter else. Also, if we keep nodding and agree with others, you help them finish quickly.

Silence is golden. It's much better to be a great listener with an ear to all so what they are saying is important   Responding kindly and not confrontational on any subject is an art that can be acquired. It takes acceptance and some practise. Remember everyone has a right to his or her opinion!

Being an interesting conversationalist most often consist of saying exactly the right thing at exactly the right time.

I make a point to let other people believe what they want to.  The hassle is when people like Phys and Tadpole crawl out of the woodwork and scream hate every time you tell the truth.

Telling the truth will blow the con of a con artist so that is why they cop such an evil attitude unless you are a real stupid and bitter liar.  Atheists can't get along with any body else.  It is just like any other BIBO gang.

I just speak my mind and let it go at that.  Atheists are the ones that gotta force you to hate who they hate and they will stop at nothing to do it.  That includes death camps.

All atheists are that way, then they lie about it just to insult you.  Since when has even one atheist ever improved on that?

I wonder if there is a less intelligent form of life than brainless leftists?
