Having trouble getting new brake pads on my 2004 Honda Accord. Don't know how to get the silver looking button to press down.

Is this silver looking button on the caliper itself?.... if so I think you are talking about the piston... I use C-clamp vise grips to compress the piston... a regular C-clamp will work too its just harder to use
