Ok, get the fabric and do a large "blanket" stitch all around the edges. Use yarn that matches or contrasts nicely. Lay the 2 layers together. Thread your yarn needle with the yarn tie a knot in the end. Bring the yarn out from about 1/2 inch inside the edge of the layers near a middle point. keeping the tail of the yarn forward, stitch back from underneath at the half inch point you started from, pull yarn snug, insert needle from bottom to top half inch from there to the left keeping the loop of the yarn on the outside or to the left of needle. pull snug. keep going having the line of yarn at the edge and the stitches even all the way around.
