Back to question Answer 1 of 1

There are quite a few stone circles all over the British Isles. None of them is a well know as Stonehenge, I think mainly because none of them is a well developed as Stonehenge. However there is quite a nice circle at a place called Avebury that is quite close to Stonehenge. The stones in the circle are more rough but in a way it is more interesting, because at Stonehenge  you can only walk along a specially prepared path that does not go close to the monument, whereas in Avebury you can go right up to the stones.

"The time has come" the walrus said "to speak of many things. Of shoes and ships and sealing wax. Of cabbages and kings. And why the sea is boiling hot and whether pigs have wings."
