Artists that couldn't succeed in the American Idol era

Anastasia Goodstein has some very good point- Joni Mitchell wouldn't have made it nowadays.

Which of your favorable artists couldn't success in the American Idol era, according to your opinion, and why ?

How about Bob Dylan?  He's never had a great singing voice.  I doubt that he could qualify from an audition on American Idol.  And yet, he's a musical genius.

Thankfully, Bob Dylan can still succeed in this era -- because not everyone judges talent based on American Idol criteria.

I guess most the artist i love would not aucceed in this show

 

probably most of them wouldn't take it seroiusly

or would be thrown away over "too less sweetness"

Frank Zappa, The pixies, Tom Waits, kurt Cobaine

allthaugh actually most of the successfull singers and soloist

can be easiely recongized by their talent.

 so my guess is it would be fifty fifty..
