If you were in custody and left, you are a fugitive.  If you left the state, or even moved to another city, you might be considered a fugitive.

If there is a warrant out for your arrest, you will have been notified of it.  Long gone is the day of the "sewer summons."  However, if you have fled justice, it is in your best interest to contact an attorney immediately and go from there.
