Arava

how long can I safely take Leuflonamide for Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have taken it for almost a year and it worked beautifully.  Now I find myself with pain, numbness and tingling in my fingers and foot.  Do you think the Arava has stopped working or do you think it is my Neuropathy that is giving me trouble?

Could be Neuropathy or simply the way your breathing.  This is probably best answered by your physician as to the cause.  However, in my opinion (not  clinical) your Arava is still working.  Over time we sometimes have to change medication not because they stop working but because symptoms have gotten worse or due to a  new illness. --- C1
