I have the same question, but the mentioned link didn't work, so is there any other option for simply deleting my free aol account?

Inien, I'm sorry you are still having trouble. Here are the instructions:

1. Go to My Account (at the bottom of your aol.com page).

2. Under Service Options, click Manage my Subscriptions or Manage my AOL Account.

3. Click Cancel in the bottom right corner of your AOL Account Information.

Follow the on-screen instructions and your account will be canceled. If you need more assistance please let me know, I am happy to help.

Rachel, thank you for your quick response. But after logging in and going to "My Account" there is no such thing as "Service Options", neither are "Manage my Subscriptions" or "Manage my AOL Account". My account was set up in Austria, but now they tell me, if I want to cancel it, I have to contact AOL in the U.S., but it seems these options are just missing. Maybe there is any other chance to simply delete my free account?

Unfortunately, there is no way to delete your UK AOL account online currently. Please try contacting UK AOL customer service for more help.

well, thanks at least for your answer again. i can't believe it's such a big deal just to delete a simple e-mail-account!

not yet, but by using a support form I sent my request and now wait for an answer.
