I just posted something silimar and I'm on MAC too.  When I try and open my mail I get this...

"There was an error loading the message. Please try again later." 

grrrrrr very frustrating.    AT LEAST  I can read my mail through   IMAIL and send mail that way and that's  THROUGH my AOL account.....so it IS AOL  for sure.
