AOL freezes, restarts continuously

When I open my aol software freezes, starts over, freezes, starts over, etc in an endless loop. running aol 9.5 windows vista home premium 32. have totally uninstalled and installed aol software already. this did not fix the problem.  Had the same problem with aol 9.1 which is why i upgraded to 9.5.  9.6 will not install at all.
