Please try adjusting your spam settings to make sure it is filtering properly. To do so, please use our help article: Spam controls on AOL Desktop for Mac . Just click the title to link.

I have been having the same exact problem for over a week myself.  When I open AOL - I use the desktop icon the most - I see 14 emails in my Inbox BUT 120 emails in my Spam!  It used to be the other way around.  Also, when I go into my Sent box, I see the emails I sent to people from 8/1 thru today, BUT emails 7/30/11 and earlier are all being sent TO me... I open the emails and they have TO the real recipient.  I access AOL via the Internet and AOL.com when at work - any emails I leave unread at work are no longer BOLD when I access AOL via the deaktop icon at home, yet my Unread count will still be at 50 with only 3 emails in bold, unread status.  When I look up the status of the emails, they ALL say read at such-n-such time, which is impossible.  I have free AOL service, so there is no asking for support, which I'm sure stinks anyway.  So now I search for answers...

I upped my my spam blockage to the max.

But there for a few days, most of my e mail was joining into spam, and it seems to have worked itself out, maybe AOL had a bug, in the past week.

Same problem for me. I added Unknownsender@Unknowdomain to my block list, and AOL still delivers it to my inbox, not even spam box. It began 2-3 weeks ago, and I get 20-30 pieces of worth stuff daily from it. COME ON AOL LETS GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF.
