AOL 9.6 keeps freezing and not responding

Why does aol9.6 keep freezing and also say not responding?

we need some info. have you recently upgraded to 9.6? did you use the aol uninstaller to uninstall any and ALL older versions? usually when you system is freezing up, it is a couple of things. the program is corrupt or your computer is corrupt.

Because that is just the nature of AOL...

Mine freezes USUALLY.

I have a new i7 computer with 8 gigs of memory. IE NEVER freezes.

I have found no amswers.

VERY frustrating.
