If you have DSL you probably also need to keep your land line, but you would have to ask your phone company.  If you have Internet by cable then you don't need a phone line.

Comcast does not offer Auto Attendant type features or functionality with their phone services. You'll have to go through an outside third party provider who can integrate their Auto Attendant service with your Comcast phone service. I recommend Gr8r Technology - they're good at stuff like this.
