Aol desktop 9.7 stopped loading

 my desktop pc, aol desktop 9.7 stopped loading. clicking on icom had waol run for a few secs and stopping. has happened before, but restarting pc used to fix it, but not this time. restarted 3x already.

was able to do an upgrade from .7 to .7 and load and start my screenname. when i clicked on read mail, aol shut down and won't load again. using laptop meanwhile to read messages.
