Anne Hathaway Lancome Model

Anne Hathaway is going to be the Lancome spokes model.

Do you think her role on "The Devil Wears Prada" help her get acquainted with this world and prepared her for the job?

I think that any big movie gets a star more recognition and more publicity.  I'm sure that Ann Hathoway's successes have gotten her to where she is.  Companies like Lancome want liked and recognized people to model and speak for them.  I do think you're right that "The Devil Wears Prada" did help her to get this role.  Good for her!

Anne is beautiful and talented. Every exposure helps a actress and model so I think it certainly helped her. But now she is at a level that Lancome also is lucky to get her.

Yes good for her! Modeling is hard work and she deserves every opportunity she gets because also this is a short carrier. 10 years max.

Lancome has been casting actresses for their campaigns for the past 10 years or so, this is a part of a larger phenomenon of using celebrities who are not model for both fashion magazine cover and ads.

I don't think they got the idea of using her from the movie, they are constantly in the look for the next fresh face. I think the movie helped her get out of the teen actress that usually does movies aimed for children (princess diaries for example) and into the more serious actresses slot.

Anne is very classicly beautiful which is what Lancome usually goes for.They likely noticed her in The Devil Wears Prada,but I doubt they thought she had any special spokesmodel talent because of her role.

Anne Hathaway, new model for Lancome




Lancôme announced yesterday that Anne Hathaway has signed on as their new ambassador for the brand, beginning this fall.

"Anne Hathaway is a radiant young woman who perfectly embodies modern femininity. We know she will portray all the passion and excitement of our new fragrance, to be launched throughout the world in September 2008", says Odile Roujol, President of Lancôme International.
