A college education is no longer worth the investment. A bachelor degree will get you a job making barley enough to get by. How can you pay debt on borrowed money in order to obtain the degree unless you simply qualify for the life experience degree like the ones at http://www.almedauniversity.org ?

it's a huge debate. and looking at the way the cost of college education is spiraling up and the lack of well paying jobs in the market, it might just be true that college is not worth investing anymore. but there's still an element of good quality education which might add zest to your skills. but overall, i think if you have the skills and if you have it in to make it without a degree, college is just a waste. but then again, professions like doctors and lawyers will still require a specialization degree.

With tuition skyrocketing, many people feel college is not worth it, they’d rather start earning straight out of high school than spend years slogging away without getting a decent enough job at the end of it. Some of it also depends on what degree you have. If it’s arts and languages, jobs for them are not as plentiful as say for medical, engineering and science graduates. But then without a degree, finding a stronghold in the job market is equally tough; most recruiters will not accept candidates without degrees. It’s a vicious circle. It’s also important what college you choose. It must be accredited by a reputed organization and have a clean background with a high graduation rate. Though reading through reviews and testimonials is a good idea, take the opinions listed with a pinch of salt! I’ve been reading some reviews too, and right now the CollegeAmerica reviews I’ve read sound good especially since many of their programs can be completed in less than the normal time.

It is not always like that. What you make of your future is how you make use of what you learned in college. If all you do is procrastinate during college, then you probably will not get anywhere. There is still a college search that can help you in the future.

Fred Guenther, that test is indeed unfair! There is no way Tadpole could pass it without Google or Wikipedia to tell her everything. Of greater importance, there is the social element of education. This test didn't "pad" the scores to favor those students who made a point to disrupt classes, and ...
