In algebraic solution only- For five exams. Jenn has an average of 88. What must she score on the sixth test to bring her average to exactly 90?

She must score X in the 6th test.  Now let's find the value of X. 
( 88*5 + X ) / 6 = 90 
440 + X = 540
x=100 
So, she has to get exactly 100 (in the 6th test) to raise her average to 90.
