HAH HAH HAH i remember when i wanted to know how to bend like they do n avatar and i know the secret art read what it say below to learn to water bend.

Waterbending is, no doubt one of the most awesome and amazing powers to have. Like most of the skills, you are dealing with a substance that can't be controlled. You aren't actually bending the water persay, but the water field around it. Like fire and air, it can't be physically lifted, but rather the field can be lifted to control the water's physical mass. There is a way to dismiss the water's field, but it is extremely complex, and is frowned upon by many water tribes because it is regarded as taking away the water's spirit. If you do decide to dismiss the field, (which I don't suggest only because I have done it, and it is extremely painful) then when the field is gone, you cannot physically touch the water, it's mass is only an image. Anyway, we're going to start with a very basic skill. You are going to lift the water about two inches, and then drop it. First, lifting the water. Put a small bowl of water in front of you. If you can, sit in the lotus position and visualize yourself sitting on a rock in the middle of the ocean, surrounded by water. It's better if you visualize yourself in the lotus position, but you don't need to. Visualize the water around you lifting up in tall pillars, and then disconnecting from the water's surface until it's suspended in the air. Then, visualize the water dropping back into the ocean. If you hear a drop in the water, congratulaions, you are officially a waterbender! There are a few different weapons that you can use with waterbending: a sword, hand fan, and best of all, your hands. Your hands alone are more powerful than any weapon in the world. Anyway, on to the moves. Here are two, both a little advanced. You may want to try the ice shield after about a month of practicing with the bowl of water. Unless your natural element is water, then you can try them whenever you feel you are ready. Also, if you can, it is extremely useful to have a gourd with a cork or a water bottle with an easy open cap that is easy to carry with you that's filled with water. Otherwise, you would have to find a spring or draw water from the earth if you're stuck in the wilderness without it.

Ice Shield: This skill actually allows you to create a shield of ice in front of you to capture any attacks thrown at you. So when you are first learning this, take it very slow, and make sure you're not using too much chi. Open your gourd, and bend your water in to a puddle on the ground. Bend the water straight up, about as tall and wide as you are, then visualize the water getting colder an colder until it eventually freezes in front of you. Then visualize it getting hotter and hotter until it melts back into a puddle and bend it back into your gourd. Keep practicing until you get fast enough to do it instantaneously.

Water Walking: This has got to be one of the greatest and most miraculous skills in existence. With this skill, you can actually walk on the surface of water. This is one of the most difficult skills in all of Waterbending, but it is so worth the effort. I have been taking waterbending for over three years, and I myself have only taken a few steps on water. What you do is, remember, only for advanced waterbenders, you bend the water in a circle on the surface of the water. You have to bend the water down and under into the center of the circle until it has pushed up in the circle and made the water more dense in that area. When you are ready, step on to that circle and feel the water under your feet as you witness a miracle. Practice this until you are comfortable with this skill. Eventually, you should be able to make the whole surface of a pool or a lake stable enough to stand on.

Yes, yes its possible, i'm a waterbender (well, sort of,i can only make a ripple, and once i made the water wabble)

 

 

First you need to do some excersises, it sounds really stupid, yeah but it really helps

 

First, get your bowl of water (try getting rain water its much easier to bend) than imagine yourself at a place where theres lots of water, like a rock in the middle of the ocean or infront of a lake, this example is going to be using the meditation I use. so Imagine yourself sitting on a dark rain cloud, floating high above the earth with billions other clouds surrounding you (remember your ON a cloud so you won't be getting rained on), if your a girl its good to imagine your hair flapping about (i have no idea why it helps but it does)anyway, imagine theres a bowl full of rain water infront of you, now, this is the hardest part, do you know what Chi is?

 

Chi is energy that flows through the bod you can imagine it in what ever way you like, some people imagine it as water some imagine it as fire some imagine it as thread, some imagine it as light, you chi lives inside your stomach but you can use your chi to control the elements and do other things like that, some say you can even use your chi to fly!

 

anyway, so, this next part is what you do in your meditation AND in real life, have your hands hovering just above the water and imagine your chi flowing from you stomach and spliting and then out through your arms (please try NOT to let the chi go through your heart)and flowing into your fingers, let the energy flow out of your finger tips and into the water (imagine your chi as what ever colour you like) make sure youve filled the bowl completely with chi and that you KEEP THE FLOW GOING as you lift your hands slowly and try to lift the water, NEVER try to make a ripple when your a beginner, ALWAYS aim to LIFT the water, even if the water just ripples when you try, when you just aim to make a ripple, you'll never know if you were about to lift it, so always aim to LIFT the water, this way just works a WHOLE lot better, Just keep trying again and again


Airbending

Air is the element of freedom.The key to Airbending is flexibility, finding and following the path of least resistance. Airbending is known for being almost entirely defensive, however it is reputed to be the most dynamic of the four bending arts. Airbenders can overwhelm many opponents at once; however, there is a lack of a finishing move, which is the great weakness of Airbending. But what they lack in the finishing move, they make up in being able to avoid and evade their opponets. After much research i found out that it is based on the chinese martial art, knkown as baggua, or circle walking. Through learning air you will be able to do many things in your average life.
Opposing Bending Art
Airbending is the most passive of the four arts, as many of its techniques center around mobility, evading and eluding the opponent .Earth bending  is the direct opposite of this. While the Airbenders avoid or deflect oncoming attacks, Earthbenders absorb them or overwhelm them with superior force. Airbenders are constantly moving in circles, while Earthbenders require a firm root in one place to effectively bend.
Like all of the bending arts, Airbending is balanced out as to not be more or less powerful than the other arts, though its is easily the most dynamic and agile of the four. The series has repeatedly illustrated that it is the skill and power of the user that determines victory. Do not take this the wrong way as being liek Airbending is weak. It is not weak and possibly one of the stronger of the 4. Hope this gives you a itte better understanding of how air works.

Lesson 2- Mixing your chi with the air

if you don't know how to let chi out through your whole body and mix it with the air, airbending is going to be impossible for you to do.
First, you need to feel your chi and then designate the areas that you want them to come out of. So first you need to meditate and visualize your chi coming out of from almost every nearly possible place. Once you see your chi coming out you need to make it fuse with the air. This is the hard part, you need to have complete control over it for you to do this. Now let your chi just go into the air and don't force it to do anything else. Once you mix it with the air try to move it around a little dont expect very serious results the first time you do this, because it may take a little while for you to get it down.
Lesson 1-Controlling your chi

if you cannot control your chi bending will be nearly impossible,
First, you need to be able to feel you chi and move it.Meditate and visualize your chi goign throughout your body like a 2nd blood in your body do this and try to make is move certain places until you start to feel it.Then when you think your ready pool your chi into your arms,chest,stomach,hands whatever.
When you think your done now start to move it all into your hands and keep it there for a minute.try to put it between both of your hands until you make a ball this is called a chi ball.after a few days of practicing this then try to shape that ball into a triangular prism or a cube or something like that.
Techniques and bending Moves

Air Manipulation: By using circular, evasive movements, Airbenders build up massive inertia; this buildup of energy is released as massive power. It also allows for wind-based counterattacks that knock opponents off-balance, mimicking the sudden directional shifts of air currents. Attacks vary from simple gusts of wind to miniature tornadoes and cyclones, maintaining the circular theme. Even a simple movement can create a air gust, and Airbenders increase the power of their moves by performing larger sweeps and spins, using the momentum of their movement to simulate larger gusts. This is also demonstrated with their use of staffs or fans to increase or create precision within the air currents.

 

An Air Shield
Air Shields: The most common defensive tactic involves circling enemies, suddenly changing direction when attacked and evading by physical movement rather than bending. However, an Airbender can still deflect as needed by throwing up gusts of air close to their bodies as a shield. This is rarely to stop attacks directly and more often pushes the attack aside and away, conserving energy and allowing them to turn the movement into an attack at the same moment. Since air can affect almost all physical objects, it can also be used to enforce the momentum of thrown objects or manipulate other objects (though requiring a higher degree of precision).

 

Air barrier
Air Barrier: This is a more powerful defensive technique where the entire body is surrounded by a dome of air that deflects attacks from all directions.
Air Funnel: Similar to an Air vortex but to a smaller scale, Aang inventively used this technique as a cannon by creating a small air funnel through which small rock projectiles could be entered through the top and could be fired out of the opposite end.

 

Breath of Wind
Breath of Wind: Very similar to standard air jet but created from the mouth and lungs. It requires extremely good breath control to employ effectively. Size and focus is more easily controlled, including narrow jets that can strike targets as small as insects, to large gale force gusts. .

 

Enhanced Speed
Enhanced Speed: Airbenders enhance their movement in battle; they can run swiftly by decreasing air resistance around them and even sprint across or run up vertical surfaces by generating a wind current behind themselves to propel them along. Airbenders have been shown using this to run many times faster than an average human and maintain this for very long periods, allowing them to travel long distances even without gliding or jumping. A master Airbender can use this technique to briefly run across water..
Enhanced Agility: Air movements can also be used as a levitation aid. Airbenders jump high and far by riding on strong gusts of wind and can slow or deflect falls by creating cushions of air. The constant movement required by this art makes airbenders naturally flexible and agile. Even without actually bending they can easily maneuver around an opponent by ducking, jumping, and side stepping, appearing to flow around their opponents without expending any energy at all, letting the opponent tire themselves out and create exploitable openings. This conservation of energy combined with high stamina gives them an advantage in prolonged combat.Laughing

It's not that easy. First of all, you need to know your element's features. (Like fire is the element of power, it's "colors", I mean which colors symbolize it, the negative and positive emotions which are can be related to the element, in this case like activity, determination, destructive.) YOu need to know some of the other elements' features too.) You need to meditate like YOU ARE the fire itself. And after that you can start to work with matches or candles. (I would go with candles, but you can't light one all the time, right?) Try to put it out first .I can't tell you how to do this, because most of people have their own technique. And I'm still working on my own, but if I already would have one, I wouldn't tell it to anybody on the earth, except those who I can trust. It's not that thing which you can tell to anybody, even though you can find useful things online, too.

Beware, this may not work. All I wrote I know from a (Ok, from about three) book, some site and one of my relatives. He knows about it a little, 'cause he already worked with fire in this way. And he did it! And not just him....

One more thing: do not care about people who say that it's impossible. It is possible. You just need to belive.
