I think you're ignoring some vital parameters, like how the child would feel, when it is clear that she is adopted. You seem to be forgetting that children can be very cruel, and I think it naive to ignore the possibility that they pay for their parents decisions.
Some questions aren't politically correct. That doesn't make the people who ask them bad people.

My uncle and father were adopted. How about never deny it, let them know. Let the child know how special it is because you chose that child. There is no reason all adoptions should be hidden from the child. I think it is a beautiful thing and the child should have the right to know.
