Discuss vvl's answer to: Please address these questions from Holy Scriptures.

Many of you do so much to educate people regarding God’s Law. I have learned a great deal from Yedda, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the ...

It's always amusing when someone with anti-religious sentiment discovers the Old Testament. Christ completed the old law by His life, death, and resurrection. Among other effects, this made Old Testament sacrifices unnecessary as Christ is the perfect sacrifice, and by His death He payed all penalties for sin.

There are similar humorous notions in the New Testament. I have not focused on it just yet. It is a little more work. It may be time after two thousand years to come up with a new edition.

I am interested in reading your thoughts on the New Testament when you have time to relate them.

Dear vvi;

Perfect What!?! Have you read what HaShem requires of a sacrifice? And, it had to be done by Jewish priest, not roman soldiers, for pete sake. And outside of the Temple, when it was still standing. His birth, genalogy and timing are all wrong. Will the next mesiah step up, please?

Yech, your response would be compelling if I believed that Jesus was not God, and that His sacrifice was merely a human attempt to appease God for all time. I do not believe that.

Dear vvl;

There is belief, and there are facts. i go by facts, but do not criticize you for going by faith. I just stay with what He says, and have done better all the time. Have a good day and thank you for responding;

You are correct to distinguish between belief and facts. A fact exists objectively, and a belief is a position regarding the factuality of an idea. If you consider something a fact, that is your belief. If I consider something a fact, that is my belief. You say with what you believe He says and I stay with what I believe He says.

I hope you have a wonderful day also.

WOW!

Having read this entire thread, I have to point out for anyone who might have missed it, the decency you all espoused to not turn a religious thread into a battle ground (this is the first open discussion I've read that is dignified)

I'm not easy to impress but, I am now impressed!

You each probably just made an angel smile in heaven, a dove have a reason to fly free in the sun and Brutus roll over!

(You also made me lmao!)

Thanks to all!
