I once heard a radio preacher site the number of miles Jesus traveled during His three-year ministry while here on earth. Unfortunately, I did not write down the information nor do I remember the preacher's name and time of his broadcast. Is there anyone else in the Yedda community who might know the actual miles Jesus 'walked' to deliver his message and perform his miracles? I need this information to embellish a speech I am making on the divine appointment of foreign missionaries.
In Jesus' day they mostly traveled by foot. Foot travelers could average about 16 miles a day.
The radio preacher must have been some preacher to recite the precise number of miles that Jesus traveled in those three years and 4 mos of his ministry, considering that he did not travel everyday. In some places he stayed for a while. He also traveled by ship on a number of occasions. To pinpoint the number of miles is nothing short of a miracle.
If I were to assume that he traveled everyday, by foot for the 33 and 1/3 years, that would make the number of miles somewhere around 18,980 miles.
Be Blessed.
Hi. I've read about that. During his 3 years ministry Jesus walked about 3125 miles.
Hope that will help. Blessings. Manolo. Pastor in South Spain.
