What action should I take if I feel I have been wrongly terminated? Should I even bother if I'll be missing so much work that I'll need to find a second job quickly just to stay on my feet?
If you feel you were wrongfully terminated from your job but aren't really sure, I suggest you talk to an employment law attorney in your city in order to find out whether or not you can pursue a case against your employer.
If you have an attorney handling your case, you'll have enough time to go job-hunting -- it would be advisable to also look for an attorney who'll agree to a contingency fee arrangement because at least you won't have to shell out money because it is a "no win, no fee" agreement.
