"Metaphysical" is another word for spiritual and defines our entire existence as mental instead of physical. Mary Baker Eddy writes, "All is Mind and its infinite manifestation." The Bible has a deeply metaphysical nature, which is basically misunderstood when religious doctrines overshadow the true substance of this wonderful book. The whole idea of the "metaphysical" is to understand your real nature as spiritually good and whole rather than materialistically compromised and at emnity with the Divine.

Metaphysics is a type of philosophy or study that uses broad concepts to help define reality and our understanding of it. Metaphysical studies generally seek to explain inherent or universal elements of reality which are not easily discovered or experienced in our everyday life. As such, it is concerned with explaining the features of reality that exist beyond the physical world and our immediate senses. Metaphysics, therefore, uses logic based on the meaning of human terms, rather than on a logic tied to human sense perception of the objective world. Metaphysics might include the study of the nature of the human mind, the definition and meaning of existence, or the nature of space, time, and/or causality.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.

Meta means beyond

Metaphysics refers to things beyound the reach of physical science;

Things that can not be tested without leaving this existence such as knowing what happens after you die.

In some cases it might refer to things related to physics that can not be tested such as what happens inside a black hole or what happened before the big bang but it often refers to mystical stuff like souls and minds rather than solid things like bodies and brains. Big questions such as why are we here and how did everything start and is there a God or gods often fall under the umbrella of metaphysics.

Generally any question that can not be answered by physicxs or other sciences is a metaphysical question.

Generally speaking science uses physical experiments to find answers. Philosophers of ten use daydreaming or thought experiments. Problems that can only be solved with thought experiments are often seen as metaphysical.

I pretty much concern myself with metaphysical problems such as:

Is the world real or a dream or what?

Who made God or whatever started everything?

What is the connection between minds and brains?

Are minds or sould immortal?

Is logic logical?

Does Godel's Prooof imply the universe is contradictory or unfinished?

.....

I may have the answer to these and other questions, You just have to ask.

For NJoy   Loosely speaking "Brain" is the physical of the mind.

As a idealist I believe the mind is real and the brain (and everything else in the physical world) a social construct, or useful fiction.

A physicalists would say only the brain is real and the mind is merely actions of or a construct of the brain.

A dualist might say they are two words for the same thing.
