Discuss Serenity's answer to: The abc of salvation

Based on the kind of death Jesus Christ suffered, the ABC of salvation was implemented according to the following series of verifiable works. In the preliminaries, Jesus fixed single-handedly the ...

Let us consider a moment why we have these rituals that bring us into salvation: is it just to make us do something silly, or is it to make us think things through?

I hold that it is the latter.  We come to know God by doing things His way.  Have we shown love?  Have we shown compassion?  Have we shown faith?

These rituals and beliefs confirm that we are willing to live the law of love.  Could anything be kinder than that?

Serenity Answered. We come to know God by doing things His way

"FOR by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" Ephesians 2:8. "Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:9.

Now that we have looked at grace, lets look into this word, works. What is works?  "We come to know God by doing things His way" That is works. Can we come to know God by  our works? NO WE CAN NOT. Can we work our way to heaven by works? NO WE CAN NOT.

No rituals here! "Looking at him whom they pierced" (John 19:37), in terms of "the great things that God has done" for the salvation of mankind, is sheer blessing! Amen.

We show faith in The Eternal by doing things His way, not ours.  Twisting the Scriptures out of context to maintain a stranglehold over your cult does not make that pleasing in the sight of The Eternal.

Legalism and fear make you as displeasing as the Pharisees in the eyes of The Eternal.  Even their righteousness was not enough for The Eternal -- for the Pharisees missed the point of the life of faith.  That point is love.  Jesus brought that out very clearly.

In fact, you commit sanctimony by failing to progress as The Eternal has been trying to lead you.  You worship a book, not He Who created the atoms from which it is made.

When you come to know The Eternal, you will understand.  He understands you far better than you understand yourself.  Put yourself in the place of The Eternal: how would YOU run a happy family where there are no rules save love only?

Do you begin to see the severity of your apostasy?  If not, pray and the answer will be revealed.  However, realize that you may not like the answer, as it will force you to reconsider your ways and deal more rationally with matters of the heart.

THAT, my friend, is the key to salvation.

Peace Profound!
