Yes, lots of ideas, if you can work without supervision.  I don't know what your skills are, or your resources (money doesn't count).  If you have a car, go to the local assisted living homes and take people shopping or to restaurants, beauty parlors or wherever they need transportation to and from.  You can take them in groups, give them a set time to rendezvous, and juggle multiple groups.  Or just do their shopping for them.

Can you sew?  Make yourself an outrageous costume out of scraps and materials you already have.  Print some flyers with your contact information on them, and wearing the costume distribute the flyers to businesses in the area.  This is to hire yourself out as a sign holder, someone who charges by the hour to wave signs for events or pizzerias or whoever.

It's ice cream season.  Get a job driving an ice cream truck NOW.  The early part of the season has the best sales average. It pays well if you try to do well.  The big drawback is listening to that god awful music all day long (and in your sleep).

I have lots of ideas for you, but without knowing you or much about you, I can't guess what you'd be successful at.  Working for yourself is the quickest way to get a job.

Thank you for your suggestions. I am interested in hearing more. Surely I will find something I can do.

it would help if I knew more about you.  can you cook well?  you can cater private parties or business lunches.  what are your zoning codes?  I've seen people have small restaurants in their house, with small tables in the living room and a bedroom.  there are lots of things you can do to make money.  I'm assuming that at 65 you are collecting some social security and you only need a part time income.  I'm also assuming that you have a car.  you have some computer skills, have you tried selling things on e-bay?

do you like selling?  share space with a friend at a local flea market on the weekend.  this is especially profitable if you can make the things you sell, or if you do hair, massages, pedicures, etc.

I feel your pain , I am 55 and I am almost in your boat we elderly are really getting ran over in America .Yet our US of A are over seas and everywhere else helping the world. There own back yard has needed a good over haul for years now, According to our great goverment we have all of these grants but the lope holes are so thick and the treatment we get along with the long lines make you feel so bad you hate to even venture into asking. Some people really forget themselves when placed in the position to help others, if there outfit or hair and nails are not on correct for the day its taken out on the job duty they were hired for. I can only suggest you find an elderly center in your area, a church resource and keep looking up HE WILL COME.
