Couldn't quite get what you meant about the the 200 tens. Try this instead, subtract 1560 from 2000, add a 4 (2004) and a 1 (1559) to come up with the final result of 445.

200 tens +4 minus 155 tens +9

Turn it around

155 tens +9                                                      +1 unit      156 tens

156 tens                                                        + 4 tens       160 tens

160 tens                                                       +40 tens        200 tens

200 tens                                                           +4 units     2004

                                                      Total 44tens + 5

                                                                          445
