While I cannot speak for every online t-shirt site... there are like 300 million and growing everyday,,, the majority use the Direct digital print process. a inkjet printers sprays the image. Not the quality of screen printing but it is OK and the only cost effective way to do small runs or just a couple of shirts per image.

The vast majority of sites are going to use or offer a GILDAN tee shirt.
