What evidence (if any) is there for the work of the Holy Spirit, as consistently promised (John 3-17), on the day Christ died on the cross?
The "Holy Spirit" is the same as "the Mind which was in Christ Jesus." This is the consciousness which transcends matter and is one with the One True Power operating in the universe. The scriptures are a record of man's search for Truth. The lives of these spiritual seekers inspire us also to be seekers for Truth, of which very little is found in churchianity. So if you really do want some owed his understanding that God is LifeTruth in your life, you won't be a phoney church person but a real person who loves divine Love and Love's idea, spiritual man, the only man there really is. Jesus was not tied to the flesh. He knew its illusory nature. Hence, his power over it. "I have overcome the world" combined with his majestic healing showed his understanding that GOD is Life and there is no death. This is what Jesus knew. This is what the real Christian knows and which is real for everyone, though they may not know it now.
