1997 F350 Power Steering Problems

I have a 1997 F350 Diesel and I have been having issues with the Power Steering for the past 3 months.  The local Ford Dealer has replaced the steering box twice, the power steering pump twice and I have had the bushings and bearing replaced in the steering column.  The last warranty replacement included the new pump.  The steering becomes more difficult as you drive (I think the fluid heats) and the local dealer is using Mercon as the fluid in the system.

Is it possible that the Mercon is not capable with the o-rings and seals in the replacement parts.  Replacement parts are from NAPA.

Common sense would dictate that the starting point would be Webster University. I'm sure they must have a phone there and maybe they even have that new fangled electronic mail thingy.

It sounds like a power supply problem. Some of thies units have problems with week capasitors on the power board. Lenovo had problems with the same producer of capasitors for thair main boards.

It varies a lot between areas. The toughest part though would be to remove it. The one I had taken off was very challenging for the mechanic. The location is often tough to get at and it's easy to strip the nuts. I've never had a cherrokee thogh.
