I still see quite a few around in Canada. Most of them are nicely restored and only driven at weekends, but I regularly see 2 in original shape -that look like hard working pickups. One of those owners told me he'd had it since new and saw no point  in 'tarting it up' . -On the other hand one of the restored owners  told me his had been valued at 25,000. (He didn't say who by) -It was very nice, with a new looking 350 and a spotless engine compartment, new upholstery.   ~ The name 'El Camino' means -'the way' or 'the road' . - Ford had a similar, but in my opinion not so nice, car that they named 'Ranchero' - I believe it was based on the 75 LTD II . Cool

What was a army early release in 1970?

One "early release" at that time was found in the UCMJ, Section 8-Article 212. The relevant part read something like "physically or mentally unfit for further military service." A man I went to high school with got "212'd", somewhere near that year.

Follow the top radiator hose to the engine, that's it. Careful removing those two bolts. On an engine that old they're probably corroded. Use a liberal amount of penetrating oil.
