In the US we group the places in threes, so 1,0000 is not proper.  I think you mean 1,000 multiplied by 1,000 which is 1,000,000.  But perhaps you mean 1,000 multiplied by 10,000 which would be 10,000,000.

10^3 * 10^4 = 10^(3+4) = 10^7   (10,000,000  reads: ten millions)

1(000)* 1(0000)=1(000+0000)=10,000,000
