I don't know about Windows Media Player 11 but if you use CyberLink PowerDVD you can capture the movie to multiple file type...

Answered: How to convert vob to divx?

You can use a DVD Ripper software to convert a whole DVD disk or just a single .vob file... Or you can try a Video Converter software to do that... Hope this helps...
