Because it takes time for the bones and muscles around the moved teeth to adjust properly. Don't rush the process, for sure. Too much too fast is not beneficial to your teeth or mouth in general.

I don't know if this applies to you, but I discovered I could not digest potatoes. When I cut them out of my diet, years of stomach problems stopped. Prior to that I was always having that problem.
