an mri can be taken with or without contrast it depends on what test your doctor prescribed. my hubby gets mri's regularly as he has ms. his doc always orders both.

for normal healthy people after fasting (that is for at least 8 hours) is 70-120. but i know many diabetics that have higher numbers and doc.s say they are in range up to 300 but i am not sure.
