your inside unit is not slanted the right way. it should have a slight fall towards the cooling coil where the water is generated so it can exit out the drain

it sounds like you lost one leg of your 220 volt curcirt. your compresser runs on 220, so if you lose one leg it wont have enough power to run so it just hums

As a general rule its 1 ton of air per 500 square feet. So a 3 1/5 ton a/c unit and 50.000 btu furnace should work fine.
