I am a girl who loves my family.  They are 1st in my life and everything and everyone else is secondary.  My friends do come in very close behind family and some of my friends have become my family.  I am one of those people who will charge hell with water buckets to protect those that I love.  I have my son and daughter in law, two beautiful little grandsons, and one very active Rottie.  I love life and try to live it to the fullest.  I love the ocean, mountains, horses, and the great outdoors.  I believe in God, my man, my family, my friends, honesty, morality, communication, & dignity.  I believe that when it comes to friends or family... you are either with me or against me.

 
My heroes are my parents; may they both rest in peace, and my husband who serves our great nation in the United States Army.  He willingly serves so that you don't have to.  And by the way, if you woke up free on this day, thank a soldier.

As I sit here alone, listening to the rain & Billie Holiday, I realize the two go perfectly together...For reasons apparent to probably only myself, both make me miss home.  I miss the fall rains of Tennessee & the many nights drinking a glass of beaujolais & dancing to wonderful music in my house, dimly lit, for no other reason than that I could.  The sounds of rain & great music combined with the sounds of high heels clicking against hard wood floors & laughter... 

Although certainly not innocent at the time, I was far more innocent then than I am now.  The times since those days have etched the memories and wounds that come from living life, deeply into my soul.  Times that others may have long forgotten, but for me will remain forever & are a large part of who I am today.

Rain & Billie Holiday... yeah, they go together perfectly.  I close my eyes and I swear, I can almost smell Tennessee; & for a moment, I'm home again...October 2009

I have also always thought the best way to discern a persons character is simply to sit back and 
quietly observe; and in time,  all of your questions ~ both answered and unanswered will reveal the story.  As life unfolds before me and as stories are revealed,  I find myself being amused and disappointed at the same time, yet for some unknown reason, I manage to remain optimistic....stay tuned

The U.S.border guards came out and stood at attention for us.It was a real tear jerker.After I approached a guard,and said"Sorry".He said for what.I returned "i was the horrible voice in the back of our group".He just laughed and hugged me.I got the front of is uniform wet. I guess this was too long. :)"
