The best way to save an email is to have another email account such as (Gmail) and have Gmail pick up a copy of all your AOL emails and then they will also be saved/stored in that mailbox.

I would just go to Windows SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL, ADD and REMOVE PROGRAMS and remove the AOL 9.7........and then reload it. Either that...or just wait a few days and see if it clears up on it's own ...
